Larry “Smiley” Stevens, 69, of Van Buren, passed from this life March 4, 2015 in Fort Smith. He was born July 12, 1945, in Monroe, Arkansas, to the late Earl and Mary Chappel Stevens. Before retirement, Larry was a manager for car dealerships and was a veteran of the Vietnam War in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division.
He is survived by his wife, Jan; his children, Samantha Liptak, Greg Stevens, Larry Gallardo and James Potter; a brother, Jerry Stevens, as well as eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2:00pm Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Perry’s Place, 3028 North 6th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
