Lawrence “Larry” W. Beleele, Jr. passed away on January 13, 2026. He was born to Aline W. Beleele and Lawrence W. Beleele Sr. on August 25, 1940. He is survived by wife of 53 years Charmaine R. Beleele, son Christopher Ray Beleele, and brother Michael W. Beleele and wife Doris S. Beleele. Larry was preceded in death by his son Benjamin Kent Beleele, his parents Aline and Lawrence Beleele.
Larry served in the Air Force. He was a teacher for many years at the University of Arkansas as well as Rose State College in Midwest City, OK.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith, AR 72901. The rosary service will follow at 6:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Sts. Sabina and Mary Catholic Church, 14304 Jenny Lind Loop, Fort Smith, 72916. Interment will follow at 11:00 am at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, with Military Honors.
