

Lenamae “Trip” Foster, 94, of Fort Smith, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born June 27, 1919 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Meno and Lillian Mae Whitman Tripplehorn. She spent her childhood in Tulsa and attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO and the University of Tulsa. Trip enjoyed her association with Moulton Galleries in Fort Smith, gardening, playing bridge, working crossword puzzles and socializing with her friends, and she was an avid reader. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Smith. She is survived by two daughters, Cindi Moeller and husband Bob of Georgetown, Kentucky and Gerre Slaton and husband Dale of Edmond, Oklahoma; one son, Robert Foster, Jr and wife Gwen of Pittsburg, Kansas; six grandchildren, Chris Moeller and wife Shannon of Georgetown, Kentucky, Jennifer James of Albuquerque, New Mexico, John Slaton and wife Amy of Amarillo, Texas, Jim Slaton and wife Jaclyn Slaton of Jasper, Texas, Angela Mohnkern and husband Andy of Conway, Arkansas, and Nathan Dodd and wife Serena of Lavaca, Arkansas; and nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Michael and Jack Moeller of Georgetown, Kentucky, Drew and Allison Slaton of Amarillo, Texas; James and Julia Slaton of Jasper, Texas, Mason and Macy Mohnkern of Conway, Arkansas, Alexis Freeman of Lavaca, Arkansas and Carey Wolf-Dodd of Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert I. Foster; parents, Meno & Lillian Tripplehorn; brother, Joe Tripplehorn; sister, Gerre Rice, and great granddaughter, Corrine James. Graveside service will be Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the U.S. National Cemetery of Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
