

He was born on April 9, 1939, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Edward and Pauline Rowe. One of eleven children, Leo was part of a large and loving family. He was a devoted member of Grace Chapel Church in Fort Smith. Known for his deep love for his family and his passion for gardening, Leo found joy in sharing the fruits of his labor with those around him.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Paula Rowe; brothers Joe, Allen, and Billy Rowe; and sisters Elizabeth Opitz, Wanda Bates, Dolores Clark, Dorothy Ritchie, Linda Whittaker, and Betty Yarberro.
Left to cherish Leo’s memory are his beloved wife, Pamela Rowe, of the home; his children, Donny Rowe of Bonanza, Cindy Brown and husband Wendell of Bonanza, Robyn Diemert and husband Heath of Arkoma, Vivian Frye of Missouri, and Jonathan Frye and wife Krizza of Barling. He is also survived by his sister, Laverne Riggs, of Fort Smith; grandchildren, Maverick Frazier and wife Brittney, of Hackett, Jacob Brown and wife Hannah, of Hackett, Miranda Dillinger and husband Jason, of Farmington, Jayden, Heather and Tyler Diemert of Fort Smith, TyGabriel and Abigail Harris of Fort Smith; great grandchildren: Katie Dillinger of Farmington, Riley Frazier of Hackett, Gracelynn Brown and Madalynn Brown of Hackett, and a host of nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m at Edwards Funeral Home, located at 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. Funeral service for Leo will be held on Friday, May 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home. Leo will be laid to rest at White Bluff Cemetery during a private burial.
