Leon “L.T.” Cochran, 68, of Yellville, AR, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in a Baxter County hospital. He was born October 9, 1946 in Mesa, AZ to the late John and Pearl Cochran. He was a retired Navy Lieutenant serving 30 years with four tours in Vietnam, and receiving three Purple Hearts.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Cochran of the home; a daughter, Leigh Pearl Cochran of California; a son, Christopher Cochran of Tampa, FL; two stepdaughters, Charity Gregory of Greenwood, and Brandy Rodgers of Fort Smith; a stepson, Donald McKinney of Mountainburg; a sister; a brother; and thirteen grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with Military Honors, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
