Lily Elizabeth Michel

Lily Elizabeth Michel, 74, of Fort Smith, passed away Monday July 7, 2014. She was born, in Sparland,KS to the late Jasper and Rhama Nighswonger. Mrs. Michel is also preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Thomas. She was a Christian and worked in the healthcare field. Lily is survived by her husband James, of the home and two daughters, Debbie Fort, of Webb City, MO, and Cindy Currie, of Fort Smith. She also has three sons, James Leon Michel II and his wife Tina, of Fort Smith, John Andrew Michel and his wife, Tammy, of Arkoma, OK and Michael Wayne Michel, of Fort Smith. One sister Oneva Daniels, of IL, and a brother, Robert Nighswonger, and his wife Kathy, of Norman, OK. Twelve, grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014, at 2p.m., at, New Hope Cemetery in Spiro,OK. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Fentress Mortuary, between the hours of 5pm and 7pm.
