Lorena Martin Jordan

Lorena Martin Jordan, 84 of Fort Smith passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014. She was born September 28, 1930 in Shreveport, LA to the late Frank and Burdette Martin. Lorena graduated from Byrd High School in Shreveport, LA and from Louisiana College in Pineville, LA and taught in the New Orleans Public Schools as well as Shreveport Public Schools. She was a member of South Side Baptist Church

The graveside committal will be held at 10:15 AM Monday, December 29, 2014 at Oak Cemetery. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at South Side Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.

Lorena is survived by her husband Winston E. “Ben” Jordan of Ft. Smith, two daughters; Gretchen Morehart and her husband Randy of Ft. Smith, and Jennifer Greenway and her husband Randy of Gravette, her sister Midge Turner and her husband Jim of Calhoun, LA, six grandchildren; Tyler Morehart and his wife Jenna of Louisville, KY, Evan Morehart of Oakland, CA, Zachary Morehart of Fayetteville, and Hannah Morehart of Fort Smith and Maxwell and Jillian Greenway of Gravette, as well as two great grandchildren; Andrew and Luke Morehart.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Viewing will be 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Fentress Mortuary.
