

M. L. “Buck” Summers, 89, of Fort Smith, passed away Sunday in Fort Smith. He was born May 27, 1925 in Summers, AR to the late William and Flossie May (Angell) Summers. He was retired from Whirlpool. He was a Bus Driver for Twin City Lines for 22 years. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, the Path Finder’s Sunday School Class and Sunday School Teacher. He was very active in the church where he served in several positions. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Razorback fan. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, June 12, 2014, at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Flora, two daughters Brenda J. Smith of Greenwood, AR and Karen “Sam” Clark-Briscoe and husband Rick of Springdale and one granddaughter Mary Katherine Smith of Lawrence, KS. Pallbearers will be Steve Shurr, Jack Vosburg, Jack Lasey, Deon Rollans, Charles “Tiny” Muehe and Carroll Abbott.
