Margaret Alieen Maxwell

Margaret A. Maxwell, 65, of Muldrow, OK, passed away December 23, 2010 in Van Buren, AR. She was born June 14, 1945 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late John R. and Mary M. Stow. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Muldrow. She was preceded in death by her husband James Maxwell.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Edwards Funeral Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, AR.

She is survived by seven daughters Cindy Tindall of Van Buren, AR, Bobbie Tubbs of Wilburton, OK, Brenda McAlister of Gore, OK, Mary Easter of Fort Smith, AR, Samantha Smith of Fort Smith, AR, Shannon Harris of Springdale, AR and Shawna Chisolm of Columbus, GA, four sons Robert Barker, James Dean Barker, Terry Barker and Shawn Maxon all of Van Buren, AR, three sisters Frances McCown, Nancy Lang and Perl Hagan all of Muskogee, OK, one brother John Ray Stow, Jr. of Norman, OK, twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Oder, Gerald Chisolm, James Barker, Shawn Maxon, Terry Cecil and Terry Barker.

God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be, So He put his arms around her and whispered, “Come with Me.” With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away, Although we loved her dearly we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
