Mary Core

Mary Core, 70, passed away February 7, 2017 in Fort Smith. She was born January 8, 1947 in Chester, PA to Mike Guittare and Ina (Page) Guittare. Mary was a former employee of Gerber Products, and she was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was a caregiver for her daughter, and she was a member of Mother’s Society at Sacred Heart of Mary.

Mary is survived by her husband, Steve Core; one daughter, Susan Core of Fort Smith; one son, Phillip Core of Fort Smith; one brother, Bill Guittare of Alma, AR.

Rosary will be said Friday, February 10, 2017 at 7:00 PM in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with a visitation to follow. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 1301 Frank Street, Barling, AR 72923. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Tony Meeks, Mike Seibold, Larry Sharum, Jack Madden, Tom Hunter and Jim Strobel.
