Mavis Ideara Moore

Mavis Ideara Moore, 88, of Fort Smith, died May 18, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born June 27, 1924 in Glenwood, AR to George and Lona Marsh Lawless. She was owner/operator of Mavis’ Beauty Salon and a member of Grace Community Church. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy and husband Wyatt Kaundart of Fort Smith and Charlotte Ross Speer and husband Larry of Fort Smith; one brother, George Lawless of DeQueen, AR; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Moore and son John Moore. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Darrell Lawless, Richard Cox, Richard Ross, Jason and Ryan Kaundart, and Brent Estes. The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home Monday evening from 5-7 PM.
