

Sgt. 1st Class, Michael Keith “Mickey” Deyo, 68 of Vian, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in Pocola, Oklahoma. He was born October 22, 1942 in Albia Iowa. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War, Vietnam War, and Desert Storm. He was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of Rena Road Baptist Church and the International Radio League German Affiliated. He was preceded in death by his parents Keith Chidester Deyo and Verla Lorraine Bates Deyo.
Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, December 3, 2010 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial and military honors to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by four daughters; Cherie Deyo, Susanna Deyo both of Santa Ana, California; Michelle Schide of Russellville, Arkansas, Melinda Weiler of Fort Smith, one son Michael Spencer Deyo of Santa Ana, California; four step-children Sang-hui Pak of Nevada, Chung-hui Pak of Korea and Tiffany and Jamie Brown of Nevada; brother Kim James Deyo of Des Moines, Iowa; four sisters Rita Rae Fleener of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Karen Alice Willoughby of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Debra Yoder of Omaha, Nebraska, and Ruth Marie Deyo of Crete, Nebraska, and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his long time special friend Karen (Stewart) Casper and life long friends and stand in family John and Sue and all of the Hood family.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Jack, Duane Stark, James Hood, Jerry Hood, Trey Johnson, and Rod Fowler. Honorary pallbearer will be John Hood.
Memorials may be sent to Rena Road Baptist Church Homeless Mission 512 Rena Road Van Buren, AR 72956.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the funeral home.
