Michael Fowler

Mike was born December 9th, 1982 to the parents Dennis and Mary Fowler at Sparks Memorial Hospital, weighing in at a whopping 3lbs 11oz. After an extended stay, he got to go to their country home in Franklin County. Michael went to meet our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 29th, 2025.

Michael attended Greenwood Elementary, Liberty Middle and graduated from Muldrow High School in 2001. After he graduated, he was employed at Peoples Inc, out of Sallisaw, cleaning offices. He loved his job and was always waiting out front when they came to pick him up.

Michael attended the Church of God on Jackson Street in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He enjoyed reading the Bible during Sunday School and he served alongside his dad as an usher for years. He truly loved the congregation there so much and they loved him as well.

Mike was never at a loss for words, and he never met a stranger. He loved music, vintage tv shows, YouTube, and he loved him some Razorback Football. Life with Michael was never boring to say the least.

Mike got along with everyone he met. He was so funny, always teasing and he couldn’t be happier than when he could make folks laugh. Mike was special in so many ways. He loved hard, always bragging about his family, especially his baby brother Cody, who was instrumental in Michael’s care. Cody was his protector, and his best friend. Michael was quick to tell everyone all about Cody.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Rose, paternal grandparents Clarence and June Fowler, and maternal grandparents Edward and Betty Cobb.

He is survived by his father Dennis Lee Fowler of Muldrow Oklahoma, his stepmother Carolyn Fowler of Brushy, Oklahoma, one sister Shelli Jones and husband James of Booneville, Arkansas, two brothers Quentin Fowler and Wife Stacy of Roland, Oklahoma, Cody Fowler and Wife Kayla Greenwood, Arkansas, ten Nieces, and Nephews, a host of other Family and Friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 8th at 12:00pm at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St Fort Smith, AR 72901. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service at 11:00am. Following the service, Michael will be laid to rest at Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garland Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
