Michael Allen Shook

Michael Allen Shook, 63, of Fort Smith, died June 13, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born July 5, 1949 in Fort Smith to Allen P. and Dorothy Mae White Shook. He was a former employee of Floyd Traylor and was a race car driver for both Razorback Speedway and Tri-State Speedway. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Paula Shook of Fort Smith; two daughters, Angela M. Underwood of Fort Smith, and Ashley D. Miller and husband Jeremy of Fort Smith; two sons, Brent Allen Shook and Michael J. Shook both of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren, Allie Edwards, Gunner Johnson, Isabelle Prody, Breanna and Haileigh Shook, and Landon and Hudson Jacobs; along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM in Community Bible Church with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Virgil Fields, Bobby Campbell, J.W. Wooden, Gary Cain, Dennis Mayberry, Brent Allen Shook, Michael J. Shook, David Presley and Smiley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bruce Fox, Krey Mayberry, Jacob, Joshua, Jayme and Roger Wooden and John England, Jr. The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5-7 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
