Michael Wheeler

Michael E. Wheeler, 72, of The Woodlands, Texas died May 28, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Patty and son, Craig of The Woodlands, TX., and brother, Patrick G. Wheeler and wife Christine Wheeler of Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Patricia M. Wheeler and brother, Kelly O. Wheeler.

Michael was a 1968 graduate of Northside High and a 1972 graduate of Arkansas Tech. After serving 4 years as a Lieutenant in the U. S. Army, he attended UALR School of Law graduating in 1979. During his legal career, he served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Sebastian county, an assistant attorney general for the State of Arkansas, and then for over 30 years as a law professor at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.

Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 6, 2022 at the pavilion of the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Public viewing will be from 12:00-4:00pm Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the funeral home.
