

Mildred Kimbrough Wert, 103 of Fort Smith, AR passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011. She was born on October 9, 1907 in Giles County, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mahlon Wert, her parents, Patrick C. and Leona B. Kimbrough; two sisters, Hazel Hart and Hallie Nicholson. She is survived by a son, Robert M. Wert, Jr. and his wife Julie; a daughter, Sandra Sigler Tate and her husband Lyndon; a sister, Carmen Thomas; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mildred worked for the Department of Agriculture in Washington D.C., Strother Drug Co in Lynchburg, VA and the U.S. Air Force Accounting and Finance Center, Denver, CO. She was past Worthy Matron Friendship chapter O.E.S. in Washington, D.C., a voting delegate for NARF in here late years; and an active member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. She loved the mountains of Colorado and traveled the country after retirement.
Her services will be 10:00 AM Monday, July 11, 2011 at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Road Nashville, TN 37216 with burial to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Gallatin, TN. Family will receive visitors 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the funeral home in Tennessee.
