Nancy Katherine Weber Ivy

Nancy Katherine Weber Ivy 82, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017. She was a kind, gentle, and generous spirit. Born December 28, 1935 in Fort Smith to Leland and Opal Weber, she was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church. After graduating from Fort Smith High school she attended Mary Hardin Baylor College. She retired after many years on the staff of the Fort Smith Public Library, and spent much of her retirement reading the books she hadn’t gotten around to while working at the library and enjoying going to estate sales with her sister Jane.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband R. D. Ivy. Survivors include her sister Jane Ann Weber Miller and her husband Jimmie, her brother Mike Weber and his wife Janie, and her sister-in-Law Patty Ivy. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Laura Miller, Michael Miller, Peter Weber, and Katherine Weber.

Graveside Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Oak Cemetery with Peter Weber officiating. Viewing will be prior to the graveside service from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
