

Nathaniel Glenn Henry, 30, of Bentonville, formerly of Fort Smith, passed away Monday in Bentonville. He was born February 8, 1985 in Fort Smith and grew up at First Baptist Church in Fort Smith. He was a proud Army Veteran of the 101st Airborne. He served his country valiantly by completing tours in Iraq and Korea for which he received many accolades including the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon (2 times), and the Combat Infantry Badge.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday at First Baptist Church in Fort Smith with the burial at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his parents Darrell and Shirrell Henry of Fort Smith, his sister Ashley Dierker and her husband Joseph of Fort Worth, TX, Timothy Starson of Little Rock, and his grandparents Charles and Dorotha Henry of Huntington, who will miss him every day.
Pallbearers will be Larry Forsgren, Cy Martin, Mitchell Henry, Robert Gillooley, James Tapp, Zachary Asbury, Derek Gibson and Anthony Jones.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
