Patricia Lasiter of Hackett AR., previously of San Jose CA., graduated to Heaven on December 28th, 2023. She was born Oct 11, 1933 in Oahu, HI. to the late Vincent and Isabella Souki. During her youth in Hawaii, Pat loved to spend time on the beach and swim. She and her siblings would explore the island looking for adventure. She tells of a time they snuck past military personnel and found their way into an active volcano. In 1951, Pat went on a blind date where she met Frank (Ralph) Lasiter, who would later become her husband. After completing his enlistment in the US Navy, Ralph and Pat moved to Indiana where they lived for seven years. Together, they had four children. Later in life, Pat became an avid reader and put her green thumb to use in her garden. Her animated personality contributed to her great storytelling. Even at the young age of 90, she could recall specific details from her youth. She never met a stranger. If you visited Pat at home, you’d find her and Pepper in her favorite chair marking recipes she’d like to try in cooking magazines. Her family will tell you, she holds the title for the world’s greatest cook, hands down.
Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, both of her parents and six siblings; her twin brother Patrick, brothers Robert, Harold, Vincent, and Vernon and sister Katherine.
She is survived by her four children, son Dave (Janice) of Fort Smith, daughter Regina Reykers of the home and sons Mark and Ralph (Michelle) Lasiter both of Hackett, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Pat adored her family and loved nothing more than family get togethers.
The family will meet with friends and loved ones at Edward’s funeral home on Jan 2 from 5-7. There will be a grave side service at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
