Peggy J. Watson

Peggy J. Watson, 85 of Ft. Smith passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018. She was born December 20, 1932 in Texarkana, AR to the late Guy and Thelma Elrod. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a writer and an investigative reporter for the Arkansas Gazette and the Daily Oklahoman. She served multiple terms in the Sebastian County Circuit Clerks Office. She was Ms. Senior Arkansas in 1999 and was a member of the Ft. Smith Historical Society.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Friday, February 16, 2018 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Peggy is survived by her daughter; Kathy Robertson of Barling, and her son; Robert Robertson of Fayetteville as well as her four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
