

He leaves his wife of 47 years, Louise (Bennett) Kinsey of the home; his two daughters, Andrea (Kinsey) Bearden and husband Randy of Fort Smith, and Kim (Kinsey) McCormick and husband Greg of Dallas, TX; his son, Phillip Keith Kinsey, Jr and wife Amanda of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren, Gregory, Garry and Brett Skinner; Jessica, Awbrey, Trey and Madison Kinsey; and Carter McCormick; his brother, Danny Kinsey of Fort Smith, and his beloved aunt, Jewell Sirmons of Fort Smith; and many close friends.
Born in Shawnee, OK., and raised in Dallas, Texas, the son of Orbin and Ruby Kinsey, he spent most of his adult life in Fort Smith, Arkansas. After serving his country in the United States Air Force, Mr. Kinsey attended University of Central Arkansas where he met his wife, Louise. They were married in 1963 at United Methodist Church in Lake Village, Arkansas. Soon thereafter, Mr. Kinsey attended and graduated the University of Arkansas School of Law and practiced law for most of his career in Fort Smith where the couple raised their three children.
He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports and was a loyal Arkansas Razorback fan. His family wrote: "Phillip loved being surrounded by his family and always strived to be a better man and Christian. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him."
Funeral service will be Monday, May 10, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Keith Kinsey, Jr., Greg McCormick, Randy Bearden, Gregory, Garry, and Brett Skinner.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 PM.
