

Phyllis Anne Dyer Sinclair, 86, of Greenwood went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2016 surrounded by her family. Phyllis was a woman of God and was known as a prayer warrior by many of her friends. Phyllis was a member of Harvest Time Tabernacle Church and a member of the Golden Harvesters Sunday School Class. Phyllis taught Sunday School for almost 40 years.
Phyllis was born September 20, 1929 in Chariton, Iowa. Phyllis married LaVerne at the age of 16 on August 24, 1946, and spent the next 69 years as a wife, mother and homemaker.Phyllis was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother, and raised her family in a Christian home. Phyllis enjoyed her women’s prayer group, cooking large meals for her family, and spending time with her grandchildren. Phyllis will be deeply missed by her family, but we rest assured that she is singing and is with our heavenly father.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Estelline Dyer, one brother Clyde Dyer; three sisters Virginia Pugh, Maurita Cowan, and Maureen Brown; one infant son Gerald Eugene Sinclair, one great granddaughter Macie Erwin and two great grandsons Aiden and Shawn Wiley.
Phyllis is survived by her husband LaVerne W. Sinclair of almost 70 years of Greenwood; three sons: Larry Sinclair of Fallbrook, California; Terry Sinclair and his wife Tamara of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Bill Sinclair and his wife Melissa of Van Buren, Arkansas; three daughters: Linda Erwin and her husband Steve of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Debbie Harris and her husband Orville of Grenada Hills, California; Kathy Hargrove and her husband Stanley of Fallbrook, California; one Brother: Gerald Dyer of Cordyn, Iowa and two sisters Eloise Lowe of Pleasantview, Iowa, Joyce McNishn of Frisco City, Alabama.
Phyllis is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Robert Erwin, Edward Erwin, Daniel Erwin and his wife Jamie, Isaac Harris and his wife Vanessa, Lloyd Harris, Steven Harris and fiancé’ Loice, Heather Hargrove, Matthew Hargrove and his wife Lorraine, Shane Hargrove, Renata Cole and her husband Kinny, Danny Wiley and wife Halea, Hunter Wiley and Victoria Wiley and fiancé Colt.
Phyllis also has survived by 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, and close family friends Earl and Linda Comstock.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Fentress Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Edward Erwin, Daniel Erwin, Shane Hargrove, Steven Harris, Hunter Wiley and Kinny Cole.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Golden Harvesters Sunday School Class and Phyllis’s Women’s prayer group.
