Raymond Ivey Jr.

Raymond Ivey, Jr., 79, of Van Buren, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023. He was born on February 23, 1944 in Mulberry, AR to the late Raymond Sr. and Vessie (Tyson) Ivey. Raymond was the owner of a full service gas station in Mulberry for several years and a member of the Mulberry First Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish, he loved old cars and enjoyed the local life in his community and had a wealth of knowledge. He was like a walking history book! But most of all, Raymond loved his family and enjoying spending as much time as he could with them.

Raymond is survived by his son, Greg Ivey (Nicole) of Van Buren; two sisters, Gail Meadors of Fort Smith and Annette Campbell of Mulberry; two brothers, Tim Ivey of Missouri and Jim Ivey of Altus, AR, along with ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by a son, Curtis Ivey and a brother, Richard Ivey.

Family will greet friends at the home on Thursday starting at 3:00 PM. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
