Richard H Cole

After a long illness, Richard Hugh Cole, 56, passed away Thursday, January 21st, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 5, 1959, he was the son of the late Lt. Col. Doyle H. Cole and Thelma Bernice Cole of Cedarville, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Heather Nicole and two brothers Larry and Brandon Cole.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Cole of Natural Dam, Arkansas; his children, Kristina Michelle of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Amanda Shaylyn of Natural Dam, Arkansas and Richard Ethan Cole of Fort Smith, Arkansas and grandchildren, Dillon, Patience, Levi, Kasydi, and Serenity.

Surviving siblings are sisters, Laura Suzanne Garcia of Ypsilanti, Michigan and Diana Parker of Fort Smith, Arkansas; brothers, Phillip Cole of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Randall Cole of Greenwood, Arkansas, Rohn Cole of Napa, California, and Darrell Cole and his wife Barbara of Redding California and many nieces and nephews.

We will celebrate his life at a memorial on Thursday, January 28th at the Grandview Church in Natural Dam, Arkansas at 10:00 AM with pastor’s Kenny Hibbard and Larry Shankle.

We are honoring his request for cremation and burial with his deceased infant daughter at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam. Burial will be set at a later time. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home
