Robert Samuel Barnett, Sr. 77, of Fort Smith passed from this life February 12, 2022 in Fort Smith. He was born December 5, 1944, near Coal Hill, Arkansas to Dillon Barnett and Alma Wescott Barnett. Robert was retired from Southland Furniture.
Robert is survived by the love of his life of 55 years, Carolyn; his sons, Robert Barnett, Jr and Bobby Barnett of Fort Smith; his daughters, Mary Jane Rountree(Leigh) of Commerce, Michigan, Peggy Addington of Houston, Texas, Carolyn Turner(Jimmy) of Little Rock and Linda Barnett of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and six brothers.
Graveside services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Edwards Funeral Home.
