Robert "Bob" Eugene Strang

Robert Eugene “Bob” Strang, of Fort Smith, died Friday March 2, 2012. He was born December 24, 1933 in Lavaca, AR to Ernest and Roxie Strang. He was a comptroller for Fluor Engineers and Contractors for 22 years, working many of those years in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 5, 2012 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Matt Daniels officiating, with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 4, 2012, from 4:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. at Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Williams Strang; two daughters, Roberta Strang-Ward and Denise Williams; one grandson, Kelly Strang; six sisters, Exine Bellamy of Round Rock, TX, Maxine Brown of Muldrow, OK, Nadine Hardin-Miller and husband Bob of Fort Smith, Gelene Woody and husband Harold Lee of Sherman, TX, Ernestine Cuthbert and husband Tom of Greenwood, and Earlene Gillson of Fort Smith; three brothers, James Strang and his wife Romalee of Lavaca, Bill Strang and his wife Freda of Uniontown, and Harley Strang and his wife Norma of Fort Smith.

Pallbearers will be: Claudie Eubanks, Harold “Honey” Graham, Jimmy Dan Ray, Tommy White, and Doug, Kelly, and Lynn Strang.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Wayne Green and Mark Strang.
