Robert Bruce Koon

Robert Bruce Koon, 82, of Fort Smith passed from this life July 7, 2014 in Fort Smith. He was born April 21, 1932, in Radford, Virginia, to the late Lewis and Mamie Mills Koon. He was a member at St. Luke Lutheran Church, a purchasing agent for Sebastian County and had retired, with over 20 years of service, from the United States Air Force. Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Alice Jean Koon. He is survived by two daughters, K D Koon of Fort Smith and Marcia Koon of Chicago, Illinois; his son, Robert Koon of Chicago, Illinois; one sister, Penny Santilli of Disputanta, Virginia; one brother, Ben Koon of Peterburg, Virginia and one grandchild. Interment will be 10:00am Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Fort Smith National Cemetery, with military honors, and a memorial service will follow at 11:00am in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
