Roberta Loyd Lowe made her transition home at the age of 95 on Monday, February 26th, 2024 in Fort Smith. She was born on August 6th, 1928 at Earl Prairie, near Booneville. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith and a retired sales clerk at Sears. She was also a member of the Pilot Club. She loved singing in the church choir and in her family quartet.
Roberta is survived by her 3 sons, Danny Loyd and wife Mary of Van Buren, Rickey Loyd and wife Lynn of Paducah, KY, Randy Loyd and wife Laura of Van Buren. One brother, Irl Green and wife Helen of Booneville. Five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her three husbands; Buford Loyd, Richard Barrett, and Joe Lowe; Three brothers, Hoyle, Casper Jr., Cliff, and two sisters, Oleta Finney and Juanita Rowe.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, February 29th at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel followed by a burial at Carolan Cemetery in Booneville, AR. There will also be a visitation for family and friends 1 hour prior to the service, 10:00 am at Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Daniel Loyd, Trent Loyd, Brett Loyd, Kevin Brandenburg, Chase Brandenburg, and Irl Wayne Green.
Memorial Contributions can be dedicated the Ft. Smith Boys and Girls Club or First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
