Rose L. Simkins

Rose L. Simkins, 91 of Pocola, OK passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 in Pocola, OK at the Pocola Health and Rehab Center. She was born on February 5, 1924 in Indianola, Nebraska to the late Merle and Macy Hill. She was a housekeeper and a Baptist by faith. She also was a lover of fishing, dancing, yardwork, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband John Simkins, her brother Francis Hill, and two sisters; Dorothy and Laura Hill.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie K. Young and her husband Bob of Van Buren, AR; her two sons, Daryl Bauer of Spiro, OK and Randy Bauer and his wife Lisa of Carthage, MO; her five grandchildren; Ronnie Neal of Ft. Smith, AR, Michael Kipp of Van Buren, AR, Joshua Bauer of Okmulgee, OK, Caleb Bauer of Spiro, OK and Rachel Petit of Pocola, OK and her four great grandchildren; Kaelynn, Isiah, and Javan Bauer of Okmulgee, OK and Peyton Bauer of Rogers, AR and her nephew Russell Hill of Greenwood, AR.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Neal, Russell Hill, Caleb Bauer, Rachel Petit, Davis Petit and Ronnie Barker.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel and with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Reverend Joshua Bauer will be presiding over the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.

Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the funeral home.
