Sammie Lee Releford

Sammie Lee Releford, 66, born December 21, 1954 to Ocie and Emma (Wallace) Releford in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Sammie was called home to be with the Lord October 21, 2021. Later in life he attended the Shady Grove Baptist Church and he really enjoyed it. He worked for a while at People, Inc. He loved working, and loved the people he worked with. He had many friends there. Sammie loved his family so much, and looked forward to the holidays he spent with them. These were special times spent with family. His family truly loved him and he will be greatly missed.

Sammie is survived by two sisters, Barbara (David) Richardson and Maxine Collins; two brothers, Roy Releford (Mary) and James Releford; a host nieces, nephews, two special sisters-in-law Mary and Naomi as well as extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Chauncey, Willis, Ocie Lee, Charles, Mike, Thelma and Reba.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, October 30, 2021 at New Life COGIC, with burial following at Center Point Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Friday, October 29, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
