Scott French

Scott French, 60, of Fort Smith, passed from this life February 10, 2015 in Fort Smith. He was born October 13, 1954, in Mulberry, Arkansas to the late William and Johnnie Sunris French. Scott was a 1973 graduate of Northside High School and was the parts manager at G. W. VanKeppel. For many years, Scott coached basketball for the Fort Smith Boy’s and Girl’s Clubs. He was a member at Deer Trails Golf Course and was active in many bowling leagues.

He is survived by his daughter, Missy French of Fort Smith; his sister, Robbie Lovell and husband Jeff of Spiro, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Ricky, Kaley and Ashley Hayes and Jeremy Arndt; a nephew, Ryan Eyerman of Spiro, Oklahoma and great nephew Charles French of Fort Smith. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry French.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, February 16, 2015 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Bogan, Buddy Peters, Kenny Bateman, Tom Carson and John Carmack.
