Michael Shane Taylor, 47, of Van Buren, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. He was born on January 10, 1978, in Fort Smith, AR. Shane, or “Unc” as he was affectionately known by his young family and friends, was generous and kind, he would give you the shirt off his back. Shane loved fishing, playing slot machines and poker. He worked at Planter’s Peanuts. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Taylor, Sr.
He is survived by his daughter, Emma Taylor of Midlothian, VA, his mother, Josie Faye Taylor of Van Buren, his sister Ava Taylor of Van Buren, and two brothers, Billy Taylor, Jr. of Anna, TX and Randy Taylor of Fort Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and good friends.
There are no services, cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
