Sharol Jeanette Douglas

Sharol Jeanette Douglas was born to the late Jesse and Berneice Smith on November 22, 1961 at Sparks Regional Medical Center of Fort Smith. Sharol was a graduate of Northside High School; class of 1980. Upon completion of high school, Sharol attended Westark; known now as the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. Early in life, Sharol found her soul mate, Frank Douglas. On April 4, 1981 they vowed before God to love, honor and cherish each other until death. The unity of the marriage birthed 3 beautiful children; Jamal Douglas, Corretta Woodard (Jermaine Woodard), and Jesse Douglas. Sharol now lay to rest, leaving her family well equipped with the love, wisdom, and joy that was spread from her heart to theirs. She is survived by 2 wonderful sisters; Carol Smith and Linda Graham, and 3 wonderful brothers; Sam Smith (Rose Smith), Ricky Smith, and Bobby Smith; 7 grandchildren; and several family and friends. She was Preceded in death by brother; Billie Ray Smith.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church with The Reverend Gary Hinkle officiating, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Her cremains will be placed in the columbarium at Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, November 14, 2011 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
