"Nay" by her family and friends, she dedicated her life to nurturing others—both in spirit and service. As
a child nutritionist with the public school system, she poured love into every meal and every child she
served. Nay was a woman of deep faith, grounded in the word of God, and a proud member of the
Baptist church. Her favorite scripture, Psalm 92, reflects the heart of who she was: “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High.” She gave thanks in all
seasons, praised through every storm, and lived her life as a song of grace. She is survived by her
loving husband, Raymond Lee Jordan, Jr., and her cherished daughter, Samone Shiraè Jordan. She also leaves behind five sisters: Florene Johnson, Bernice Mounsey, Judy Hogue (George), Janice Price (Sammy), and Sheila Knauls, and three brothers: Louis Austin (Marilyn), Robert Knauls, and Charles Knauls. Her legacy lives on in the strength of her family and the countless lives she touched.
