Susie Hays Baldwin

Susie Hays Baldwin, 86, passed away September 18, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born June 30, 1927 in Pampa, TX to Wallis and Cleo (Trantham) Hays. She was a teller for Simmons First National Bank from 1985-2007 and was a devoted member of Central Christian Church for more than four decades where she was known as “Grandma Susie” to her many friends and church family. “Grandma Susie” was a Godly Woman full of common sense, with a playful spirit and a tender heart. She had tremendous faith and intense loyalty. She has gone home to be with her CREATOR, well done, good and faithful servant. Susie was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Baldwin, and was also preceded by her son, John Coulson. She is survived one daughter, Donna Redding, of Fort Smith; her favorite daughter-in-law, Lou Coulson of Van Buren, one step-daughter, Alice Ann Holloway of CO; three sons, Robert of Fort Smith, Mikel of Witchita, KS and Richard Coulson; special nieces and nephews, Jan Carroll of Oklahoma City, OK, Nona Rickman of Ft. Collins, CO, David Wayne McDonald and Loral Henck, both of Oklahoma City, Joel Hurley, of Pennsylvania. Jimmy Carl of Texas, and Larry Don of Tulsa, OK. Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Susie is also survived and was loved by her special family at Simmons First National Bank and Central Christian Church. Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 23, 2013 at Central Christian Church, 400 N. Waldron Rd. Fort Smith, AR under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park,Tulsa , OK .Pallbearers will be Elders of Central Christian Church and Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of Simmons First National Bank. Visitation will be Sunday, September 22, 2013 , from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Central Christian Church. Memorials may be sent to the Women’s Ministry at Central Christian Church, 400 N.
