Thelma Tomandao Chew, 73, of Fort Smith, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020. She was born January 5, 1947 in Manila, Philippines to Fidel and Maria Tomandao. She was retired from St. Edward Mercy Medical Center and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Jean Chaunsumlit; a brother, Edoy Tomandao; and a half-brother, Fidelito Tomandao.
There will be a Rosary said at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Memorial Mass to follow at 10:30 A.M. Inurnment will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Columbarium. Due to COVID 19, proper social distancing will be observed. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie, of the home; her daughter, Chriselda Chew of Los Angeles, CA; her son, Eduardo Chew and his wife Anna, of Bentonville, AR; two brothers, Bobby Tomandao of Lincoln, AR and Motto Tomandao of Los Angeles, CA.
Viewing will be from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
