

Thelma Davis passed peacefully from this earth on April 11, 2015, to join her Lord. She recently resided at a nursing home in Hope, AR. Thelma was the youngest and last living of seven siblings in her immediate family. She was born in Buffalo, Missouri, on June 25, 1917. Thelma was a long time resident of Fort Smith, having relocated to the area after WW II with her husband, WC Davis, Jr. Both Thelma and WC (Dub) Davis, Jr served in the military during the war and returned to Fort Smith to raise a family. Thelma was an active member and volunteer at First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dub, in 1967. Thelma is survived by two sons, W.L. “Bill” Davis and his wife Sarah , of Hope, AR, and T.M. Mike Davis and his wife Sandra, of Baton Rouge, LA; four grandchildren, Matthew Davis of Hope, AR, Aaron Davis, wife his Misty of Bentonville, AR, Stephanie Davis of Dallas, TX, and Ryan Davis, and his wife Kristi of Lake Mary, FL; and five great grandchildren, Kole and River Davis of Bentonville, AR, Davis Sanoja of Dallas, TX, Hunter and Brynn Davis of Lake Mary, FL.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 15, 2015, from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
