He loved the Lord and was a long-time member of Goddard United Methodist Church.
He made the most of the time the Lord gave him on this earth working for over 30 years as a glue salesman for Swift Adhesives, Forbo and Reichhold, winning Outstanding Salesman awards many years.
He served in the Army Reserve and the Air National Guard as well as a reserve sheriff's deputy for several years.
While his health permitted, he was also active with motocross, motorcycles, and rodeo, spending a few years as the "clown in the barrel".
He is survived by two step-sisters, Tommie Ruth Chapman, Elizabeth Jeffcoat, one daughter Lisa Standridge (Michael), one grandson, Alan Haney II, one step-granddaughter Lauren Henderson (Clint) and one step-grandson, Jeremy Standridge.
Visitation will be April 18th 5:00 to 7:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home. Services will be at Edwards Funeral Home in Ft. Smith on April 19th at 2:00pm with graveside service at Valley View cemetery in Midland under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mark Hewitt, Ronnie Polk, Dudley Astin, Larry Schwartz, Alan Haney and Bobby Fletcher.
