Virgil Ray Crouse, 77, of Barling, passed away September 23, 2020. He was born May 14, 1943 in Morgan County, Illinois to Ruel Crouse and Elizabeth (Williams) Crouse.

He was a retired Sgt. from the Army after 22 years, and he was in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife Beverly; daughters, Tina Wade of Illinois, Lori Ahles of Alabama, Mary Rodriguez of Texas; sons, Tim Crouse of Illinois, and Billy Crouse of Louisiana; step-daughters, Chasitty Allen of Charleston and Annette Vowell of Barling; step-son, James Matlock of Texas; sister, Shirley Thurman of Illinois; brothers, Ronald Crouse of Illinois, Kenny Crouse of Alabama, Carrol Crouse of Illinois; seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial graveside service will be 1:00 PM Monday, September 28, 2020 at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Military Honors.

Cremation services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
