Wanda L Ramey

Wanda L. Ramey, 85, of Fort Smith, died August 18, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born August 17, 1928 in De Moines, Iowa to Everett Louis and Lucretia Mae Sigmon Anderson. She was a licensed Beautician, an avid card player at the Fort Smith Senior Activity Center, volunteer for Project Compassion, and a charter member of Cavanaugh United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Cindy Ramey of Fort Smith; one son, Stephen Ramey & wife Melinda of Greenwood; daughter-in-law Elaine Ramey of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Scott, Matt, and Cory Ramey and Shanda Mizell; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sterling E. Ramey and one son, Mike Ramey. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Cavanaugh United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Cory Ramey, Jerry Bolton, Sheldon Mizell, Skyler Mizell, B.J. Bolton and Mark Goforth. The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday evening form 5-7 PM.
