

Ward Ernest Delcomyn, 50, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, entered Heavens gates on February 19, 2018. He was born to the late William Ernest Delcomyn and Gail Bryant Wolters (Robert Wolters) on April 7, 1967 in Melbourne, Florida.
After growing up and completing his formal education in Houston, Texas, Ward moved to Northwest Arkansas, where he graduated Summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a BSBA in Information Science. Upon graduation, he worked at Arc Best Technologies as a Senior Technical Consultant.
Ward was an active member of East Side Baptist Church in Fort Smith. There, he met and married his best friend and loving wife of 17 years, Dana Delcomyn. Ward is also survived by daughter, Jennifer Delcomyn, of Fort Smith; sons, Timothy Delcomyn of Fort Smith, and Joshua Delcomyn of Branson, Missouri; three stepdaughters, Sarah Travis (and James), of Fort Smith, Kelly Metcalf (and Paul), of Town and Country, Missouri, and Amber Smith (and Michael), of Austin, Texas. Ward will be fondly remembered as “Papa” by his five grandchildren, Presley, Grayce, Avery, Connor and Noah. Ward will also be remembered by his beloved three Aunts, Jaqueline, Joan and Carol (and Mike); as well as numerous dear cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. preceding Ward’s Life Celebration Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. February 24, 2018 at East Side Baptist Church in Fort Smith, with Pastor Rick Gering officiating. Private family interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
