William D. Dillon

William D. Dillon, 87, of Muldrow, OK, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016. He was born January 7, 1929 in Dover, AR to the late Charles W. and Sarah Julie Ann Dillon. He was a retired Paint Foreman for Fort Smith Public Schools. He was retired from the United States Air Force and a veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a member of Haven Heights Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 9, 2016, at Edwards Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Young officiating. Burial will be at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, AR with Full Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Margerett; four daughters, Terry Whedbee and husband Barry of Fort Smith, Susan Morris and husband Gene of Mountainburg, Nancy Dillon and Polly Dillon both of Muldrow; one son, Mickey Dillon and wife Linda of Pocola, OK; two sisters, Verneal Orsbun of Fort Smith and Aline Sosa of Van Buren; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Whedbee, Jonathan Whedbee, Steven Johnson, Ryan Godsey, Tyler Smith and Kendall Mounce.

The family will visit with friends Sunday evening from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
