William “Bill” Whitehead, 93, of Barling passed from this life June 14, 2017 at his home in Barling. He was born February 18, 1924, in Swanee, Georgia, to Emory and Donnie Whitehead. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army, was active with the VFW and American Legion, and was the owner of Bill’s Barber Shop in Fort Smith.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Toni W. Whitehead of Van Buren and a grandson, William Gene “Bill” Horton of Rogers, Arkansas. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, James Aaron “Bubba” Horton.
The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 3:00pm Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home.
