Wilma T. McIntosh

Wilma T. McIntosh, 89, passed away March 22, 2011. She was born March 26, 1921 in Charleston, AR to Bertha Davis Mullen and George Thomas Mullen. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, was formerly an administrative assistant for the Social Security Administration, and for many years she was the assistant for the Commanding Officer at Ft. Chaffee.

She is survived by 2 sons: Dale T. McIntosh and his wife Teena, of Richmond, VA and John T. McIntosh and his wife Judi, of Fort Smith, AR; 6 grandchildren: Patti Cain of Wilmington, NC, David McIntosh of Richmond, VA, Wade Litsey of Fayetteville, AR, Damon McIntosh of Richmond, VA, Ali McIntosh of Fayetteville, AR, and Seth McIntosh of Fayetteville, AR; 2 great-grandchildren: Tucker and Travis Cain of Wilmington, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis L. McIntosh, and was also preceded in death by her 6 sisters and 1 brother

Tommie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother - and a good friend to so many. What you would hear most from the people she came in contact with throughout her life was that she was “a sweet woman”. She was full of goodness. She loved to have fun, and to see her family have fun. Tommie loved to hit the RV road with her Travis. They traveled the states for twenty years from coast to coast and always returned with photos (and fish) to share with family and friends. She will be forever remembered as our Mother who was always there for us and our family, and our best friend.

Funeral Service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Armour officiating. Committal service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 28, 2011 at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

The family will visit with friends prior to the service in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
