Agnes Imel

Agnes Imel, 98, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 at Saint Anne Home. Born July 30, 1913 in Geneva,IN, she was employed at Fort Wayne Bible College as head cook. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving are daughters, Donna (Lamarr) Deaton and Marlene (Donald) Durick, both of Fort Wayne; sons, Kenneth (Nadine) Imel; Richard Imel and Ronald (Connie) Imel, all of Fort Wayne; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and longtime caregiver, Libby Barber, of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ora A. Imel, in 1965, parents, William and Elma (Flory) Boice, sister, Marcella Young, grandson, Steven Imel and great grandson, John Fletter. Funeral Service is 11:00 am Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 8611 Mayhew Rd. with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton, Winchester Rd Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
