Alice H. Uffelman, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed into eternal glory and joined the company of Saints Monday, Feb. 25, 2013. She was born Feb. 19, 1924 in Allen County to the late William and Minnie (Griebel) Hoffman. She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at Lutheran Life Villages. Surviving are her five children, Kenneth (Cheryl) Uffelman, of Herndon, VA; Lynn (Janet) Uffelman, of Kendallville; Carol (Bruce) McAfee, Mark (Billie) Uffelman and James (Judy) Uffelman, all of Fort Wayne; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W., in 2008. Funeral Service is 10:00 am Friday, Mar. 1, 2013 at Peace Lutheran Church, 4900 Fairfield Ave. with calling one prior to service. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
