Greenlawn Funeral Home
Amy Sue (Glesing) Scott, 57, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 8, 2018, after fighting a hard and brave battle with cancer for over a year. Born on July 26, 1960 in Beech Grove, Ind., she was a daughter of and will be cherished forever by her parents, Richard and Barbara (Harover) Glesing, who survive. She graduated from Perry Meridian High School and attended Indiana University. She was employed by Northwestern Mutual before becoming a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed cruises, traveling, dining out, playing mahjong and bridge, and had a great passion for dogs. She was especially grateful for the time that she volunteered with Lilly, a Golden Retriever, as a therapy team. She will be greatly missed by her husband, James Scott. She was a wonderful mother to David, Christopher, and Ashley Scott. She was a loving sister to Randall Glesing, Phillip (Darrell Fishel) Glesing, Jeffrey (Lea) Glesing, and Timothy (Bobbi) Glesing. She will also be missed by nephews, Noah, Jonah and Caleb Glesing. She will never be forgotten by her aunts, uncles, cousins, good friends, and her mahjong and bridge groups. "The family would like to extend a very special thank you to all the nurses and staff members at Heartland Hospice that took very good care of her." Funeral service is 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation is from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2018, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, according to Amy's wishes, she has requested donations to be made to the Allen County S.P.C.A.
