He graduated from West Vigo High School in West Terre Haute, Indiana in 1993 with honors, and studied Material Science at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for three years before returning back to Indiana due to health issues. During his Carnegie Mellon years, he was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity. As a Sig Tau brother, he formed many friendships that he remembered and valued for the rest of his life. In his pursuit of higher learning, he later obtained a bachelor’s degree in English at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. As his educational path grew, Andrew earned associate degrees in computer technology which led to him eventually pursue a bachelor’s degree in Informational Technology at Western Governors University. Never straying from wanting to provide a good life for his family, he was working to complete a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Purdue University Fort Wayne around the spring of 2026.
Andrew found joy and fulfillment spending time with his family. He married his wife Melissa (Church) Tudor on May 25, 2013 at Memorial Park, in New Castle, Indiana. Andrew and Melissa built their life together along with their two children, Alexandria “Alex” and Wyatt Tudor. Andrew was a loving and dedicated father who loved to coach his children’s softball and baseball teams. Additionally, he volunteered for his children’s Scouts pack as an assistant den leader and as the Scouts pack’s Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) volunteer. He was very proud to guide and support his children in their own paths in the Scouts. Andrew had his own journey in the Boys Scouts and spent many happy years camping and learning life skills with his father, Craig, who served as a den leader when Andrew was a Cub Scout. These years of commitment eventually led to him earning the rank of Eagle Scout an honor that he was very proud to achieve.
He also believed in the importance of volunteering and serving the community and worked to impart the importance of these values to his children. Andrew was a long-time blood and platelet donor, along with donating bone marrow when he was a young man. He always tried to see the good in the world and wanted to make it a better place.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Melissa (Church) Tudor, their children Alexandria “Alex” and Wyatt Tudor, his father Craig Tudor, his sister Abigail “Abby” (Kevin) Vaughn, nephews Jackson and Spencer Vaughn, niece Josie Vaughn, several cousins, uncles Clint (Jocelyn) Tudor, Chris Tudor, and Clark Tudor, Jeff (Beverly) Nelson, and aunt Barb Sheets.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Beth Ann (Nelson) Tudor, his elder brother, Benjamin “Ben” Paul Tudor, his grandparents, Clinton Brown “CB” Tudor, Ruth Carolyn (Phelps) Tudor, Earl Junior Nelson, and Janice Pauline (Leamon) Nelson, along with his uncle, Steve Sheets and his aunt, Elaine Tudor.
