ASHLEY ELIZABETH STEWART, 22 of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday evening, July 21, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Fort Wayne on Oct. 1, 1993, she was the beloved daughter of Kim and Susan Stewart. "We thank the Lord for blessing us with Ashley for 22 years". She had a gentle, old soul and was loved by all who knew her. She loved classic rock, old cars, animals and children. She graduated from Homestead High School in 2012. She is survived by her brother (her Bubs), Jared Stewart; grandmother, Sandra Brown; aunts; Susan (fiance' Bruce Helmuth) Birkmeier, Lisa (Steve) Cushing, and Kelly (Randy) Powell; uncle, Bradley Brown; numerous cousins; and cat, Colonel (CeeCee) Cuddles. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Phyllis Horstman; and grandfathers, Ward Stewart and David Brown. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Rd., with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the funeral home. Preferred memorials can be made to the Allen County SPCA.
