Barbara Ellen (Huffman) Gould

Barbara Ellen (Huffman) Gould, 90, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. She was born on July 23, 1933 to the late Cletis and Madalene (Mullen) Huffman in Muncie, Indiana. They moved to Fort Wayne when she was 6 months old, where they spent their entire lives. She graduated from Ball State University and was a member of Sigma Kappa. Her teaching career included schools in Avilla, Huntington, and Fort Wayne. She met Carroll Gould from Kendallville, Indiana and were married on May 4, 1958 at First Church of God in Fort Wayne. Carroll passed away on January 15, 2014. They were blessed to celebrate 55 years of marriage. On Saturdays, she was a vendor at the South Side Farmers Market for 60 years and loved sewing and working with customers. She was also a member of Star of the East Chapter 514 (n/k/a Trinity Chapter #476) for over 60 years. Her home church for many years was Trier Ridge Church and she most recently attended The Chapel. Physical limitations may have slowed her down but she was so happy to be an active member of a Bible Study held at Coventry Meadows Assisted Living where she lived the last few years. Surviving are her daughter, Carla Gould and the close friends that were adopted into our family. She loved all of them deeply. Celebration of Life gathering will be 3:00 pm on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
